Mold Removal in Eagle Valley, NV
Eagle Valley is the valley Carson City sits in, but to people who live here it also means the east side of town: the neighborhoods around the municipal golf course off East Fifth Street and Eagle Valley Middle School, out toward the airport and the river. The houses are mostly 1970s through 1990s single-story homes on crawl spaces and, in the later subdivisions, slabs, on the flat ground between the older city and the Carson River floodplain.
The east side is lower and flatter than the West Side, and the water problems are different. Instead of snowmelt against a stone foundation, it is drainage: a lot that slopes toward the house, a downspout that dumps at the corner, sprinklers that run against the stem wall, and a crawl space vent that takes it all in. A wet spring or a summer cloudburst off the Virginia Range puts water on the east side streets faster than the storm drains take it away, and the homes closest to the river have the 1997, 2006, and 2017 floods in their history.
This site connects east-side homeowners with an independent local mold provider. You call, describe what you see or smell, and the provider decides what to bring.
Eagle Valley mold, on the flat side of town
A crawl space that takes drainage water every spring is crawl space mold remediation, and the outside fix is grading and downspouts. A soft wall behind a water heater or under a window is mold removal. A house near the river that was dried from the top after a flood year and never opened up below the floor sometimes turns into whole-home mold remediation when a buyer's inspector goes under it.
Flat ground and city permits in Eagle Valley
The Carson City School District runs Eagle Valley Middle School and Empire Elementary on this side of town, and its campuses sit on the same flat, slow-draining ground as the houses around them. Rebuild permits go through the Carson City Building Division.
