Mold Removal in Empire, NV
Empire is the far east side of Carson City, the neighborhoods along the Carson River between Morgan Mill Road and the Lyon County line, built mostly in the 1990s and 2000s on what was ranch land. The Empire Ranch Golf Course sits on 250 acres of that old ranch along the river, sheltered between the bluffs, and the subdivisions around it are the closest houses in the city to the water.
That is the whole story of mold in Empire. The Carson River came out of its banks here in January 1997, again at New Year's 2006, and again in February 2017, and the flat ground between the bluffs is where it spread. Homes that took water in any of those years were dried from the living space, and a house that was never opened up below the floor can carry growth on the subfloor and the joists for a decade. In dry years the same flat ground drains slowly, and crawl spaces on the low streets stay damp into June.
This site connects Empire homeowners with an independent local mold provider. You call, describe what you see or smell, and the provider decides what to bring.
Empire mold, in the river bottom
A crawl space on the low ground is crawl space mold remediation, and in Empire the crew asks first whether the house was here in 2017 and what was done afterward. Growth at the bottom of the walls from a flood year is mold removal, and when it runs through every room on the ground floor it is whole-home mold remediation. Insurance rarely reaches the slow version of this, and nobody on this site can tell you what your policy will pay.
Living in the Carson River floodplain at Empire
Empire Ranch Golf Course on Fair Way is the neighborhood's landmark and its floodplain in one, and the way its low holes go under in a high-water year is the clearest picture of where the river wants to go. Rebuild permits go through the Carson City Building Division, and any work in the mapped floodplain can involve the city's floodplain manager as well.

Crawl Space Mold Remediation
Joists, subfloor, and insulation under the house cleaned or removed, with the snowmelt, plumbing, or drainage source fixed before it is closed up.
Bathroom Mold Removal
Growth in ceilings, drywall, and behind vanities from steam and slow leaks, the most common first call from older Carson City homes.
Attic Mold Remediation
Roof-deck and rafter mold from ice dams, swamp cooler lines, and warm indoor air hitting a cold roof, cleaned and the cause corrected.
Mold Damage Repair
Drywall, baseboard, subfloor, and cabinet bottoms put back after removal, only once the framing reads dry and the leak is stopped.
Mold Odor Removal
Finding and removing the damp material behind a musty smell that outlasted cleaning, then treating surfaces and air so it stays gone.
